Jason, also our Chief Operating Officer, sits as our organization representative. He is passionate about seeing others realize their highest potential. Jason enjoys time with family, reading, writing, and exploring the outdoors.

Rosa Guzman-Snyder is passionate about community-led initiatives, practicing solidarity, and activating partners. Rosa’s background includes ample experience fostering both community engagement and social justice. She previously worked with the NCFL as the Community Development Director and previously founded the Community Language Cooperative (CLC) in Denver in 2013. The CLC works to promote language justice in education, nonprofit, and governmental agencies. Rosa holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Nonprofit Administration from Colorado State University-Pueblo.

Lender extraordinaire, Derek was born and raised in Petersburg, West Virginia and moved to Delaware when he was 14. He played baseball at Salisbury University, and graduated with a degree in Mass Media Communications and a minor in Psychology. He has lived in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and Maryland where he currently reside with my wife and two daughters. Having lived in these three areas, he has become familiar and fallen in love with each of their unique qualities.

Derek has been in the finance and mortgage industry since 2011. Since then, Derek, Jason and Kendra have worked together on countless real estate transactions, successfully assisting new homebuyers with the largest transactions of their lives. He brings to the board over a decade of experience in residential lending. His perspective will help to position our program participants in being properly prepared for the home buying process

India Whaley, a J.D. and MBA graduate from the University of South Carolina, currently serves as an LDP Credit Analyst at Truist, with prior experience in financial analysis at New Markets Support Company. Her extensive background in community economic development is highlighted by her roles with the City of Columbia Government and the Development Finance Initiative at the UNC School of Government. India's legal expertise is evident from her work at Pope Flynn, LLC, and as an In-House Counsel Extern at Samsung Electronics America. An analytical leader and certified Project Management Professional, India is deeply committed to fostering community growth through innovative solutions and collaboration.

LeShanda (Shawn) Gibbs a native of Belhaven, North Carolina obtained his Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from HBCU North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University and his Master of Real Estate Development from the University of Maryland (College Park). Growing up with an interest in Site Planning, Development Consulting, Zoning and Landscape Architecture design. Along with his wife, Shawn aspires to establish their own Real Estate Development firm, with a focus on rehabilitation and holding of properties to improve neighborhoods and provide safe, clean, and affordable housing for communities in the greater Washington, DC region, upstate New York and North Carolina built environment, he relocated to the Washington, DC metro area, and is currently working in public service with the Government of the District of Columbia. He has over 17 years of experience in Project Management.
