Through hands-on programs like ULI’s UrbanPlan, we engage youth and families in understanding how real estate development shapes their neighborhoods. These workshops teach the fundamentals of land use, planning, and financial feasibility and demonstrate how thoughtful development can address community needs. By linking this educational experience directly to our affordable housing initiatives, participants see how their new skills translate into real projects—from envisioning a neighborhood to building homes that prevent displacement and create opportunity. This way, our programming becomes a bridge: it prepares families and youth to appreciate why affordable housing matters and invites them to play an active role in shaping equitable, thriving communities.

Current Housing Pipeline

MORE Affordable Housing is actively developing and advancing affordable housing projects across Washington, DC, Maryland, and soon, Northern Virginia. Our current pipeline includes a mix of preservation and conversion projects designed to serve low- to moderate-income households and protect long-term affordability.

Projects in our pipeline prioritize:

  • Missing-middle and family-sized units

  • Affordability for households earning below 80% AMI, with deeper affordability in select projects

  • Anti-displacement strategies, including long-term affordability controls and stewardship models

  • Community-centered design that reflects neighborhood needs

As a growing community-based developer, our pipeline is intentionally phased to ensure responsible development, strong partnerships, and sustainable outcomes. Additional projects are added as sites are secured and financing is finalized.
